Market Buzzing with Produce
It was a very busy July 18th Saturday around the Cannon County Courthouse Square. The Square was filled with Farmers with corn, okra, tomatoes, green beans, eggplant, field peas, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, herbs, melons and berries and alot more. There were several customers waiting for farmers to set up at 5:30am to purchase Fresh Fresh Locally Grown Sweet Corn; "nothing better than getting it fresh straight from the farmer" said one customer.
Miss Lindsey Parsley displayed some of her 'Veggie Art', the cucumber sports car fitted in well with the Car Show that was on the other side of the Courthouse Square.
The Courthouse Square is the place to be on Saturday mornings. Come early for best selection of produce, there are new Farmers arriving each week with their bounty. If you haven't received a Cannon County Farmers Market tote bag with your purchase be sure to get one before supply runs out.
Cannon County Farmers Market is where you can meet the farmer and know you are getting Locally Grown, Farm Fresh Food.
