Pickers at the Farmers Market

We keep saying 'another great day' at the Cannon County Farmers Market and it was again Saturday, August 29th around the Courthouse Square.
There were several Farmers set up with a large selection of Fresh Farm Produce and Baked Goods. Everyone enjoyed the "Pickers" picking bluegrass music. John Wittemore of Blue Hills Farm and Joseph Brynes of Brynes Farm entertained customers and farmers with several selections of bluegrass tunes. They hope to be back at the next market on September 5th and invite anyone to come and 'pick' with them, should will be a fun time!
There is still plenty of produce coming out of local gardens and farms. Corn, field peas, summer squash and winter squash, be sure to check out the 'naked turkey squash' at Flying S Farms, sweet and hot peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, watermelon, green beans, okra, pumpkins and more.
Look forward seeing everyone on Saturday. The Market will be open till the end of October as long as produce is availabe, be sure to make plans to start your Saturday morning by coming to the Cannon County Farmers Market.
